The Good Ol' Days

Decided to dig out some old primary school computer games from the disc box a few days ago ...
Zombinis! XD
Oh that game was fun ... and still is fun watching my sis play it and laughing at it's simple complexity. Lil blue dudes being transported across places and sometimes thrown back with whatever (sneezes, springs, hot plates, bee swarms etc) eheheh ...
Also decided to start playing my Pokemon Crystal as well. Ah, the pokemon days. I still like it now XP and playing the game. It's awesome, lol.

Well it's basically been a month since graduation. My blogging frequency has decreased to once a month. I bet you anything that I probably won't blog again before New Years. But yeah, been unlazy-ing myself since I last updated. Finally got myself a job at a balloon/party shop 2 weeks ago. It's the best =D Blowing balloons, making balloon bouquettes, delivering ballons around the place on foot by the bulkload XD and as well as the usual sales, phone calls. It's an awesome first job experience. I like it. Fun and work, now that's not something you usually come across =P
Got my wisdom teeth removed last Friday. The operation went much better than I expected. Pretty sleepy from the morning so I was kinda in a daze in the 2-3 hour transition period from going into the hospital and actually getting the operation done. Anaesthetic really just hits you, except I vaguely remember my vision going blurry and then zoning out. Operation procedure, then woke up I don't know how long later in the recovery room with stuff hanging out of my mouth, lol. I was like @_@; I think the nurses thought something was wrong with me cuz I kept waking up and then going back to sleep. I didn't wake up properly til about late midday which apparently was a lot later than usual. Nurse then comes around and removes whatever from my mouth, sits me up and I get served vanilla custard, lime jelly and lemonade a while later. Interesting food combination were my first thoughts and then I proceeded to swallow this food with no feeling at all. haha ... funny experience, jaw and mouth were still so numb from the anaesthetic. ladida~ after eating, got changed out of my hospital clothes and then went home! Spent the rest of the arvo/night with an icepack around my jaw looking like a bunny rabbit with the cloth tied above my head to hold the ice pack in place. Next day, woke up expecting the pain to hit but it never came ... and still hasn't 5 days later so I'm really thankful for that. I was so worried about the pain to come after all the stories I heard. So much for buying super strong panadol lol, no use at all. So yeah, doing pretty fine now. Eating has been restricted to soft/easily swallow-able food or food that can be chewed in the front teeth. Paranoid about chewing at the back ... if I split open my wounds it would suck so much. So yeah!~ my wisdom teeth/hospital experience. Hope whoever else getting their wisdom teeth removed have a good operation like mine =) Maybe just go with the same doctor hehe.
Christmas and New Years soon. Family and friends party both nights! I can't wait =D There's gonna be so much food and games and fun!!! Yay! hehe~ Hope everyone is having a good holidays! Either overseas, still here lol, working or whatever. Until next update~

Oh yeah, OPs and stuff came out 2 days ago as well. hmm ...

Graduation

Nearly one week has passed by since the last day of high school. I'm getting lazy with this blog thing XP
Exams went well, the last week and a half was at times bludgy, fun and boring o_o;
Friday after exams was the year group trip up to the coast. Good relaxing time to eat, chat, look around and enjoy the beach breeze, lol. The week after that consisted of a range of talks, most of which weren't worth the hour sitting there. At least some of the people talking were interesting and kinda had a sense of humour, made it less boring.
Tuesday was half day. Lisa's 18th birthday party. Turned out to be much more better than I had thought it would've been. However to avoid their 'traditional' birthday tricks (pool, water bombs, pushing people in water - all in uniform), went out with the group for lunch before joining up with the others for cake and Karaoke. Interesting night.
Wednesday was the year group luncheon. Warm weather, uphill and downhill, heels, 15-20 mins ... hmmm =P Food was alright, would've expected something better but oh well. Pasta was good, dessert was alright, despite the fact that it kinda ran out towards the end XD;
Thursday - day off school - group outing. Spent a lot of "quality time" in the arvo with Yolanda after the group split lol, shopping, eating and unsuccessfully attempting to find a certain teddy bear haha~ was fun.
Friday, teh last day =D Muck up day (morning) was absolutely disgusting. The Nerds '07 display on the sacred grass was probably the cutest, cleanest and least destructive. Seniors '07 (ie. everywhere else) had shaving cream, hair, honey, water, flour, streamers, toilet paper, ketchup, raw meat, raw chicken wings, bread, glitter, window paint, string, tape ... you get the picture. Big mess. The whole grade consequently had to spend over an hour trying to clean up the mess ... and our group found out that ketchup is extremely acidic -.- ... the metal it was on was stained, it's now different colours. omgsh ... think of what it does in our stomaches =P But yeah, sucks to have had to clean up after everyone else when we were just sitting on a table, giving cards/presents and signing dresses T_T We did no harm ... except the water gun. And water dries so no need to clean that up -.- Oh well~ =P
Final assembly wasn't as tear wrenching as the previous years. It was more funny acts and whatnot. The tears didn't hit till we were dismissed XD Spent about an hour hugging everyone, saying goodbyes then realising that we'd see each other again at night, lol.
Valedictory wasn't as touching and emotion filled as previous graduates made it out to be. No crying involved other than a certain person sitting next to me *pokes*. The candle lighting process was pretty cool~ it looked really nice out in the dark and two lines of candle light to "lead the way" hehe~ ate lots of food, took many photos and talked a lot before we all said our final goodbyes and headed home. So tired. Got home and seriously just went zzzzzz ....
So now the three month long holidays have started! And what productive work have I done? Nothing! (besides my piano practice) Am I going anywhere? No! Oh well. Hope to find a job *cough*, clean/rearrange my room and things. Yesterday was probably the 'best' day out of the whole week ... baby sitting a Wendy's lil sis for about 3 hrs =3 So cute and adorable and obedient and knows what to do hehe~ such a little bundle of cuteness. I've never spent so long 'conversing' with someone without understanding LOL > Baby speech! And I haven't spend so long in the toy section playing with Wiggles toys, Elmos, those spiky balls and uber sized dolls. I won't be missing my next babysitting opportunity with her =P

Teh lonely blog ...

... oh how I've not updated you in so so so long.

Final weeks of school, so excited. But between now and then, still 2 assignments and 4 exams in the way. I really like this English feature interview task, contrary to popular opinion. It's not THAT hard, you just have to do research, watch the movie, think of points and piece it together. I think of it more as a movie analysis with a Yr12 English focus *shrugs* By the end of this assignment, I will have watched "The Hours" 6 times ... all the way through ... no fast forwarding. You'd think I'd have memorised it aye~
Accounting on the other hand I'm finding a pain. Yes, personal financing is important ... but I seriously can't be bothered lol. You can so see how my future is gonna be XD; *cough* That'd be bad ...
I can't think of much to say, lol. Which is why I haven't updated in quite a while. Going through each day thinking of things and then just forget about it. First week of holidays were pretty boring, second week was more eventful. Went out with a couple of old school friends, watched Rush Hour 3 (alright-ish), and the formal was on the second last day of holidays. A night of photos, eating food (that wasn't as good as I thought of it to be), "dancing", chatting to people, rar rar. It wasn't a super super fun night but it was a good night and opportunity to hang with friends in such environment. So many photos, lol. Theen, school's been bludgy since day one. Every class is assignment time, consequently half the grade just stays home to work. Bev's bday party yesterday. Too much food =P and karaoke-ing by all haha ... with good solo-ers XD
siiigh ... I'm so over school already, lol. I can't wait til the end. When people go "How's life?" I always reply with a "The usual you know ... school >_>;" Nothing exciting happens. Poor, lonely, boring me. The three month holiday to come ... I'm gonna get a job and do stuff = =" and not be boring, lol.
I managed to make a new layout over the holidays. Haven't found the time to code everything though, lazy me. You'll see this changed one day ... one day.

sigh.

QCS, exams and things.

Record! I blogged once last month. It's nearly the middle of September and this is the first blog ... I'm getting lazy *cough*

QCS!! Teh 'hightlight' of a Yr 12 student's life ... is over! =P This year's paper was pretty good. Better than the '06 practice we had, omgsh -.-' Writing topic was a bit dodgy though... essence. Everyone was so "wth?! essence?!" after it XD But I'm interested in reading what people actually wrote, not what they say they wrote. Some people have some veery interesting productions. MC papers also had some pretty fun units in them. YAY to draughts and Sudoku! XD Those two units were teh best and easiest =D haha. Short response was pretty good as well. Interesting items to read and respond to and wasn't particularly 'challenging' (as opposed to the '06 paper. As you can tell, I really didn't like that XD) Hope the whole grade did really well on it!!
School's been really busy. Everyone can confirm that. That's all that's been happening since the middle of August. [/end blog].
jks ...
My two most stressful exams eveer ... DONE ... for this term. Spent the whole homestudy day "getting into" English so I would think English thoughts and be prepared for the Hamlet essay on Friday. Yaay for that. I thought that essay was quite straightforward? Who would like to agree? The questions were basically what all the teachers were lecturing us about/hinting to us so it was a relatively 'easy' unseen essay to write. I must say though, doing this Hamlet essay wasn't all that bad. Reading the book itself might have been a bore, but after watching the 4hr movie version (which was word for word *dies*) which slightly increased my interest in it, and listening to the lectures of tearing apart the book and analyzing it, I thought Hamlet was worth it and quite a good end to my Shakespeare encounters =P (I see people staring at me atm) *runs*
Maths! was done yesterday =D Felt much better now than I did last term after the exam. I had the feeling of impending doom after that and getting my results back confirmed that. This term though, the questions were most simple. I'm happy. Hope I did well and that marks will help me. I want to get into my uni course lol ...
Jap tmrw, Accounting on thursday then FREE! Of exams. IPT! RAWR.
I've parked myself in front of the computer 24/7 quite a lot this term. haha ... ok maybe not 24/7 but I'm in front of the computer if I'm not sitting at a table with food in front of me or getting my much needed rest in bed =P
*stares at IPT* I've been mulling over if for like, the term, or, since we got the assignment/I started it, which was JULY Gah. It's a 'fun' major, but the fact the database has to be perfect (that's what I think anyway) before continuing the other parts of the assignment properly (and not making up info no based on the database *cough*) gets me really annoyed. I'm up to my 10th 'draft' database version, all with either large corrections or minor corrections. Either way I've printed it out 10 times and they're all different *kills* Now though, I'm to a point where I can finally move on (I think >_>). One more week left. Must. Finish.

Father's Day party with family friends last week have made me realize/see more of how we're all growing up and changing. The atmosphere around the households hold a different 'air' about them when we all gather together lol. All the parent convos and such things revolve around different topics. The questions they as us are more 'in depth'. All us 'teens' also don't seem to be as 'together' anymore. We eat, talk kinda, then movie the night and that's it. No more funny random talks or just talking to each other about things. But I mean, we still share that friendship we've had for so so many years, however because half of us are in school and half in uni, that's what's kinda put a little 'gap' and changed it a bit. haha, uni life. That's what I think anyway.
School friendships have also become a bit stressed. Does everyone really feel like a change at the end of the year? >_>; I mean, it's the last year of school too, may as well spend more group time together. What's the point of 'extracting' yourself out and depriving yourself time with your friends for others -__-'' sigh. Oh well.

Hope everyone is coping well in this busy period. Eat well, sleep heaps (haha, try to anyway) and take care of yourselves. Holidays are just around the corner =P YAY! XD

You know you are living in 2007 when ...

Inside cover of the church bulletin. Interesting read =P

You know you are living in 2007 when ...
1. You accidentally enter your password on the microwave.
2. You haven't played solitaire with real cards in years.
3. You have a list of 15 phone numbers to reach your family of 3.
4. You e-mail the person who works at the desk next to you.
5. Your reason for not staying in touch with friends and family is that they don't have e-mail addresses.
6. You pull up in your own driveway and use your mobile to see if anyone is home to help you carry in the groceries.
7. Every commercial on television has a website at the bottom of the screen.
8. Leaving the house without your mobile, which you didn't have in the first 20 or 30 (or 60) years of your life, is now a cause for panic and you turn around to go and get it.
10. You get up in the morning and go online before getting your coffee.
11. You start tilting your head sideways to smile :)
12. You're reading this and nodding and laughing.
13. Even worse, you know exactly whom you are going to forward this message.
14. You are too busy to notice there was no #9 on this list. 15. You actually looked back up to check that there wasn't a #9 on this list.

And now YOU ARE LAUGHING at yourself.

----------

In other news ...

- Term 3, Week 6. Accounting exam #1 done and marked, Jap speaking and listening exams this week, BCT exams the week after, 3 weeks til QCS (so overrated)and exam block, 5 weeks til end of term. Oh, wow.
- Diana's awesome 18th birthday party! Nice food, karaoke and took heaps of photos. That sums up the 5 hr night of celebration, lol.
- 2 months? til formal (don't know, don't care atm, not counting). Some people, though, really do not get the idea ... it's getting rather annoying actually. Shut up and stop constantly talking about it/asking questions = ="" Really do not need to know where you're getting whatever done, what you need to do and what awesome amount of money you're gonna bust on it. rawr.
- I hate liars, I really do. I hardly know you but you annoy me so so much with your lies that shouldn't even be be lies (ie. things you should tell the truth about. The more I find out you lie, the more annoyed I get, the more you're being fake to someone.) Stupid liar, you don't deserve her. I hope you know what you're doing.

Ok, back to work. Hope everyone is going well.

5 minute procrastination

[5 minute procrastination start]

Gah, haven't updated in a month (nearly) ...
- Last week of holidays stuck at home. Study, procrastinate ... enjoy the last moments 'work-free'ness even though I had assignments
- Currently Term 3 Week 3 ... stress, stress and stress. English was stupid even though I spent so much time on it. Very disappointed. Hope marks turn out right. Teacher is still non-existent ... but hope family is ok ><
- Some Uni Open Days this weekend ... just makes all this decision/selection process seem closer even though final QTAC dates are 2 months away, then again 2 months is gonna fly by. Three more days and it's already gonna be August. It's crazy.
- So much random/interesting/weird things I have seen happen/heard lately ... so many questions and worries on my mind. Why does everything seem to happen all around the same time or all together or at some similar point during the year (I think I just said the same thing 3 times)
- Quite a few revelations since the Term has started. Times change, people change, we're all growing up, some things cannot be reversed no matter how much you wish for them to. I feel friendship strains ... we're all changing so/too much and I hope that we can all still hold onto these once close friendships that I felt so secure in. I feel like I'm losing some people/friends in particular aspects ... I wish we had more time together.

Stressss.
BCT Industrial Relations newspaper editorial *crashes into wall*
... XD
Hope everyone is going well =) And for those who are sick, hope you get better ><

When you're sick ...

... you really don't feel all that motivated to work. Like now. I have ... a cough, a slight cold, and just recovered from a one-day fever. And when you're IN a fever, you tend to be a bit outta it, as I experienced yesterday -___-

Wendy & family and Monica & family came over yesterday for a BBQ. Came over at around 4 ... I had just gone into 'fever mode' 2/3 hours ago and kinda just cooled down a bit. Needless to say, I was so out of it. I was half feverish and trying to host people/help out around the house kinda. Everyone knew I was sick and just kept stating/asking the obvious ... "Are you sick ar?!" Siiigh. Yes. I. Am. So yeah, arvo started off with random talking. I kept repeating myself/coughdying and pplz kept laughing. Wen-di-di kept going "Get some sleep laaa", Jacky kept laughing T_T and Monica kept going *patpat* Such loving friends lol XD During dinner, I kept talking and repeating myself in several occassions again. And had "stupidified" looks on my face ... or some random face name Jacky gave me when I came around the corner with my mouth open staring at them with a confused look on my face. He laughed so much ... and so did Wendy. Siiiiigh. Then another thing happened and I said something, Jacky said something and we all laughed and then I went on unsuccessfully sawing my chicken with my knife. NO WAIT! It was pork-that-tasted-like-chicken! So sawing teh pork wasn't all that good. It didn't chop in half so it fueled the laughter >_>; I managed to cut the pork in the end though ... after several attempts. Oh the effects of sickness ...
Bewitched is so weird. Wierd magic and randomness. And random laughing by all.
Wendy made up funny names for us during camp:
Heidi: Hi-di-di
Wendy: Wen-di-di
Yvonne: Von-ni-ni o_o;
Mel: Me-li-li
... and I became Sa-li-li
Man ... she was so high in the past week. She fueled my laughs so much. So infectious.

Kairos 2007

Kairos: "Seize the moment"

So, another experience of EMP's camps ...

It's amazing to see the work of God in all these young people. All the "older" people disappeared this year kinda, so my memories go back to the lower grade kids. Man, they've grown so much, physically and spiritually. Heck, some have become leaders and all. Amazing.

Some brief highlights:
-Wednesday night card games 1:
NANJING! ... Simon: nanjing?? isn't nanjing part of china? why is it on singapore airline cards...OMGSH MY EARS ARE SO HOT! Simon and his amateur-ish card tricks. Asian magician. Face. so. serious XD And my slowness took me even longer to work out how it works. I STILL CAN'T SOLVE THE JOKER TRICK! >_>; Wendy, help? Did you figure it out? XD

-Wednesday night card games 2:
Watching Michael, Wendy, Alan, Simon and David play poker. First with paper as chips, then betting with sit ups and push ups. Man, Wendy has abs and huuuge endurance. David was weaker than I thought ... maybe from arm-wrestling.

-Friday morning card game 3:
Snap with Mel, Heidi, Wendy and Simon. Me, with an apple in one hand and card in the other didn't have the chance the snap.
Heidi: YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO SNAP!
Me: I know! I also have slow reaction time ... really.
And Jacky laughing at my slowness. Sime came along later ... didn't help either. Got laughed at for eating an apple and being unable to snap. Siiiiigh. No Heidi really, I do, and did not rule in that game as you predicted XD

-So. Much. Sickness. Quarter of the camp probs retreated home by the end of it. Talk about fast spreading sickness bugs. Coughs, colds, fevers ... whoa >< Vonz, hope you've gotten better.

-So. Many. Bruises. Go Wendy and your heart-shaped bruises on knees type thing. That's crazy. And Heidi, your several collisions and 'severe' bruising by many. Hope you recover well.

-Arm wrestling is crazy. Mel is so strong. Heidi and Vonz are amazing, you guys battled it out! Vonnie's broken nail LOL! Wendy with the 11 year old. Crazy strength o_o;

-Staying up Thursday night/Friday morning:
Total: around 2/3 hours of sleep added together maybe. Fellow crazy teens: Sven, Simon, Michael, Nathan, Wendy, Heidi, Mel, Me.
Wendy being squished in between Sven-who-was-fast-asleep-and snoring and David. Poor girl.
Wendy's pillow sniffing and comments LOL. (Nathan's 'nice (coffee)smelling' pillow, Michael's 'funky smelling' pillow.)
Wendy's: mmm ... so warm. OMG, I nearly spooned Sven, LOLZ.
Wendy and Michael's MEGA-PRAWN! ROFLMAO.
Wendy feeling David's 'laugh waves'.
Mel and my combined efforts in extracting several pillows from under David's weight ... then pillow fights.
Weird sleeping arrangements (ie. 8 chairs in a rectangle formation as a bed, 4 sleeping bags on the ground for 7, 4 pillows). Everyone piling on top of/lying on each other ... and being squished/suffocated.
David: Guys, I'm kissing the ground already!
David and Michael's out of sleeping bag room crisis ... lay off that area!
[Note: I was teh active observer of all this amusement. And photo taker. In no way did I end up being involved in the craziness other than laugh my head off at everyone.]
David's random shoving of tea in my face. David: Drink it! Me: *half asleep* huh? wha? z__z David: TEA! Me: oh *sip* uh ... you made it weird.

lolz ... what else.

David's attempted hot chocolate at around 6 in the morning.
David: How do you turn the gas stove on! *turns random gas stoves on* Listen to which one is on guys so I can light it *holds lighter*.
Me: = = we're doomed. Stuff that idea
[Later] Wendy: uh ... David you're not putting that metal bowl into the microwave right?
David: yeah ...
Me: You can't put metal into the microwave.
David: aw what! One of you guys told me I could.
Wendy: Let's go find other equipment.
hahah ... Heidi and her tea ... again. And her bread LOL. "GUYS! Look what I found! GOLD! *points to bread* So. Hungry. XD

-Watching Friday morning sun rise:
David's weird jacket. Everyone freezing. Nice scenery.
Wendy: LOOK! That hole in the tree ...
Me: Looks like a bird!
Wendy: Looks like a penguin!
*We all imitate a walking penguin*

-Helping with Friday morning breakfast.
Aunty: Girls ... would you like to help crack eggs?
Wendy and I: Sure!
[One box later] Wendy: My hands are so cold ...
Me: *crack pour crack* My hands are sticky ... Wendy: Sally is a machine!!! Plowing through them! Me: LOOL.
[Four boxes later ... each] Wendy: Noo! It's not mixing together. Must. Find. Yolk. *stab stab* Me: Maybe you should've left it all til the end before beating ...
Viv: Actually ... it doesn't make a difference.
Me: Oh really.
Wendy: hahahah .....
[After beating "all" the eggs]
Me: Yay! We're done!
Wendy: uh ... what's this?
Me: ... Wendy: WE HAVE ANOTHER BOX OF EGGS! looool ...
Me: How could we miss out such a large box off eggs stuck between two bowls *cough*

-Violent games:
Hockey with newspaper as sticks and a soapbox as the puck is the ultimate violent game. Esp when Heidi and Wendy are in it LOL. People can hit. so. hard. And people can crawl. so. fast. Wendy and Heidi so violent la ><
Dogdeball with pieces of paper on the ground is not cool. Esp. for me ... hitting/sliding down onto the ground sailormoon style. Ultimate bruises man T_T And what do you define as underarm throwing! I was so underarm/sideways pegging *cough* They got me out though ...
Soccer downhill is not cool. Soccer downhill with random tree branches sticking out outta the ground is not cool. Potential tripping opportunities available. Kicking a ball downhill is cool =D It rolls ... and you make people run bwahaha. Heidi half tackled by Jacky ><
Bucket ball is on crack. And crazy jumping people. And unco catching. Gah. And rolling around on grass.
Stealing flags (forgot the name). Man, how violent are people. Half tackling others to get to the flags. You attempt to tag but run outta the way in the end to avoid being the tackle bag = ='' Heidi being run over by several people.
Minesweeper. I feel so insecure walking around in the dark. Seriously. And being directed by someone with a soft voice. So. paranoid. about. hitting/tripping on bottles. Or crashing into people ><

Bleh. I think that's it. I've just realised, most of these things are activity/night related. All the talks (no offence) weren't that good. Only one outta the three were good. The guy with the awesome accent and expressions. All the other ones were kinda z___z to me ... and not really, uh, said 'well' >_< I dunno. I still got general point though ...
Morning devotions were pretty good though. Nice sharing and discussion time. Interesting things to read and reflect on. And get to know the rest of the group better. Go èÝñïò! (don't think this is gonna show properly ><) Or Eftpos as we first made it to be cuz we couldn't read greek. If you squint, that's what it looks like. Really. Big thanks to my team (and ref. to play parts):
-Sven - Teh Great Leader. Head of FannyDong Smile Inc.
-Heidi - vice leader/captain! So pround of you, taking the leadership duty this year. And ... being beaten up in the play ><
-Michael - Evil Asian CEO, Head of Fongate LOL... my 'angel' that gave me too much chocolate and sweets and didn't find out until my buddy told me. gah. Cold drinks + ice cream + bad throat = not a good combination.
-Jon - Yakuza bodyguard! First time camper ... allowed God into his life! So amazing!
-Mel - Yakuza bodyguard 2! Heidi's cousin, amazing person hehe. Then she turns into a boss at the end lol, and steals Fongate's ID etc.
-Ellen - teh part-timer. Divine intervention-er. *heavenly music* aaaah XD
-Me - teh boring narrator that kept coughing. I was like at the height of my coughing crisis. x____x

Yaa ... so that's it for camp.

Kairos guys ...

Holidays

Wow ... haven't blogged since the middle of last month. I wonder what busy stuff I got up to ever the past few weeks =S (lol, yes I do know but atm no)

School term ended ... Friday 22nd, so it's been about over a week of holidays. The last week of school wasn't much. The only normal running class was Maths and English kinda, all the other subs were just talking or supposedly completing work for next term ... which, obviously, most people did not do. Time wasters haha ... Term 3 ahead seriously, use the opportunities. I guess IPT was the lesson with absolute bludge time. We have a major next term but we haven't been given information ... so much for getting extra start time. The last day of term ended with a QCS MCQ paper = = and an awesome final assembly by the captains. Awesome rapping by minda =D

Holidays ... haven't been all that interesting. As usual, feeling not very motivated to do work, however I still have made myself do some research while randomly on the net. The only day, actually arvo, that I did most work was group planning for our Eng collage. It's crazy, we have holiday assignments. But I guess that gives us sufficient time to be aware of the task and prepare/complete them. Maths assignment Pt3, English Collage, BCT Industrial Relations newspaper article. Oh what joy! But I guess, my mind has already pretty much been set on work since the beginning of this year. Occassionally going off track I guess ... ie. procrastinate ^^'' Gotta fully focus next term. Focus. Focus. haha ... and reports cards just got received as well. Have to add oil!! and then I should be satisfied >"< Argh. My holidays still revolve around work.

Things done:
Went to CT with Wendy ^^ last week. Nice time to catch up~ Times like these make me realise how important these opportunities are. And how apart two friends can become from splitting into different schools and not frequently seeing each other =( Scary thoughts. I'd imagine this is what most of my current friendships could be like after the end of this year T.T And that day also made me realise how annoying shopping can be = = ... not that I didn't know before but it just emphasised it more >_>
FiGS Camp day trip for me on Saturday. Long, long hours of driving. I really don't understand my parents' logic. But, I'm thankful that they were willing to drive me, and stay til late to pick me up. The day was fun, good talks and funny activities ... and stuffed up piano accompanying *diez* I wish I could've listened to all the talks and not just the 3. *sigh* Good day, good day though. Glad I went.
Finally~! Alice's b'day outing so ... Dreamworld today! Haven't been since primary school. And I was too short back then *cough* to go on most of the rides. Rides were good, went on more than normal since there were friends. Hate going on rides by myself >< "The Claw" was good now that I think back on it. Before: kinda iffy , on it: "AAAAAAAAAAAAAH x_x", afterwards: "Hey, wasn't all that bad! XD" Haven't been upside down in however high in the air for a veeery long time lol. AND! There were several ride malfunctions today as well. The Wipeout stuffed up right at the beginning of the ride .. right at the TOP. So all of us are suspended in mid air wondering what's happening = = Then apparently the Tower of Terror had a malfunction as well. Ya~ so, went on more rides than usual, had fun with friends, took way too many photos/dragged into way too many photos ... and no comment to that. So much randomness.

Hope everyone is having a good holidays, either working or relaxing or holidaying at places. Recharge well before the new term! And ... HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALICE (who never reads this, you might one day though)

The Jar and the Japanese Tea

Just read this off a friend's space and decided to 'steal' it lol. She got it from a forward anyway, meh. Anyhoo, worth a read~

The Jar and the Japanese Tea

When things in your life seem almost too much, when 24 hours in a day are not enough, remember the Jar – and the Japanese Tea ...

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty Jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.

So the professor then picked up a jar of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous ‘Yes!’

The professor then produced two cups of tea from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed.

‘Now’, said the professor as the laughter subsided. ‘I want you to recognise that this jar represents life.’

‘The golf balls are the important things – God, family, your children, your health, your friends, and your favourite passions – things that if everything else were lost and only they remained, your life will still be full.’

‘The pebbles are the other things that matter – like your job, your house and your car. The sand is everything else – the small stuff. If you put the sand into the jar first there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff you will never have room for things that are important to you. Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with your children. Take your partner to dinner. Play another 18. There will always be time to clean the house.

Take care of the golf balls first, the things that matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.’

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the tea represented.

The professor smiled. ‘I’m glad you asked. It just goes to show that no matter how full your life may seem, there’s always room for a couple of cups of Japanese Tea with a friend.’

I was here.

Realised a few things when I went biking on Monday. There are so many mosquitoes in the world. I can safely say that I probably got devoured by at least a dozen or more ... and twacked another 10 million = ='' And while waiting for food to cook, another thing I also realised are the large amounts of people who write "I was here!" or "(name) was here (year)" etc. What is the facination of marking when you were there or not? To go back a few years later or something and then say "Hey! I wrote that!" I don't know. So weird. Just know that so many people do that. Self marking. Right.
Four day exam block, five day weekend, two day QCS practice days gone, lol. Back to normal school routine now. Feels like ages since I've been back at school. Back to seeing people daily, a set routine, slow increase of work XD And ... back to feeling cold = ='' So used to wearing warm clothing that keeps you warm, now it's just the uniform ... which really doesn't keep you cold much. Frozen hands atm ><
*sigh* Can't be bothered typing XD Hands are so cold and class is ending soon. So I'll list out what's been happening since I last blogged.
- computer died (I think I've said this before)
- Exam block, QCS practice
- Got Ps (go the same examiner! XD)
- Pirates of the Caribbean ... no offense, not the best of the 3, very weird and random. But there to see the actors. Who agrees with me? XD Johnny Depp, he was so on crack.
- lack of exercise ... want to play Badminton! - biking ... since like, years. Actually, since going to HK o_o;
- haircut lol ...
- being bored at home, feels so weird without schoolwork to do
- excessive amounts of manga ... (Clover is really boring omg. Can't believe I spent time reading it.)
- ... and chatting, never typed continuously for such a long period of time XD
- aimless surfing around on the net =S
- feeling cold everyday = =''
- ...uh, can't think of anymore
Bell went, blog more later~ Keep safe and warm everyone!

Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. Kerb.

Must note down such experiences. I've been going on about this for the whole day. It's stupid of me to keep going on about it but meh. I will never ever ever get over it as long as I live >_>;
Driving exam was today. Yay. I was so happy in the morning during the hour of practice before the exam. Nothing stuffed up. I wasn't feeling overly nervous like that mock test I did a while back. I was able to keep calm even though the exam was in a while. It reassured me that my examiner was one of the 'nicest' ones out of the lot so I was happy about that. Exam starts, examiner is talkative and talks about his trips to HK, China, Mongolia and stuff, lol. Pretty interesting to listen to. Gave me something to think about other than driving and it relieved the tension. I happily drive around. Half an hour later, we're driving back to transport. We go right past the right turn into the center with me going @@; Next right, had to do a U-turn. Last minute of exam, last task. So I'm waiting for the cars to pass, and start turning, near the last bit, I mounted the kerb SLIGHTLY. Just slightly. I'll summarise the next half hour with speech. *siiiigh* x__x

Examiner: Oooh! Why did you have to mount the kerb?!
Me: *Remains silent with the inability to come up with a proper reply to statement* (makes face) >_< *continues driving back to transport*
[after parking the car]
Examiner: *marks sheet* So let's talk about your driving.
Me: ...
Examiner: So, that U-turn.
Me: *thinks* (omg ... you're commenting on the last thing. I'm doomed)
Examiner: You knew you were going to mount that kerb weren't you? But why did you keep going?
Me: Because ... there were cars coming. If I were to stop the car before I knew it was going to mount the kerb, the car would be diagonally across the road and that wouldn't be a safe situation. So I thought the best was was to keep going even though I'd mount the kerb slightly. Safety reasons made me do it.
Examiner: But for safety reasons too, you should have stopped before the kerb, wait til cars passed, reversed and then continued like that. Then you would have missed the kerb and everything would be fine. Look at your sheet! There's like nothing on it if you cover this! *thumb over CDE*
Me: ... T_T
Instructor: >___<
Examiner: I was so ready to come back and pass you! Unfortunately, since it is a critical, I can't. Sorry.
Me: ok ...
[later] Instructor: So can you drive back?
Me: Yeah ... should be able.
Instructor: Ok.
Me: *Starting up car and heads off* Instructor: *groan* Ooh ...
Me: Oh well ...
Instructor: The kerb!
Me: Yes the kerb ...
Instructor: *groan*
[close to school] Instructor: *points* a kerb like that?
Me: Probably less elevated. Instructor: *groans again* Sorry to have to keep bringing it up but ... *groan*
Me: It's alright XDD;

Sigh. I will never forget or get over it. There's always a first for everything. Not the end of the world because I didn't pass. It just annoys me that it was the end and it was last thing and I was probably 50 metres away from getting my result >_>; I'll shut up now and learn from mistake. Hopefully next time, something like this doesn't come up. Keep it in mind =P

In other news =P School is full on stressful now. Exams start next Friday. English, Maths and BCT are the first few exams. The ones I'm most worried about. Oh, Jap listening and speaking next week but *shrugs* Anyway, lots of preparation to do. Really should continue to work and study now. Blogs are such a procrastination tool XD
Good luck for exams and assessment everyone!

Technology is against me.

First the munted USB situation, which is now solved...

Now it's the home computer. It won't start up and there's problems with it. Haven't touched the home computer for the past 5 days which is like a world record for me >_>; Which means that over the past few days, I haven't done any work of sorts. Most of the subjects I take are computer based, and for that weekend/days, the homework I had were from those subjects. *diez*
However, apparently now it's 'fixed' and working. New hard drive ... everything that I had stored on the other computer is all gone *cries* All the 'important' stuff =P (ie. schoolwork) is safely stored on my USB so that's a relief. Still though, everything else, all the software, photos (I think I backed up though), music, images, other random stuff ... is all gone TT___TT

Interesting to note that I'm still living and coping with all this and added stress = = Crazy exam block this term, compared to last time. Two 'exam blocks' in one term is so not cool. Why does the school shove assessment in Week 3 along with the exam block 5 weeks later.

I really should stop complaining.

I'm still alive!

Don't know if anyone else is XD No one seems to have been blogging lately, we'll all getting to busy to blog now.

So much stuff and work been happening since the last entry. The old USB is now officially not in use and just sitting on my table look pretty. No more tilting it to a 45 degree angle to make it work, no more feeling stuffed and insecure anymore XD I got a new USB.
Last week was assessment crazy. IPT, English and Accounting. The IPT oral was alright, writing the short story for English was fun and interesting, Accounting - I wish we had more time to finish the exam properly . So glad that everything was all over in that week though. Felt sorry for the LS people who had a crazy assignment due after all that assessment too. haha, the end of last week felt like the end of the an exam block, except the proper one is another 5 weeks away. meh~ it's all good now. Getting back to 'normal' homework and studying, instead of cramming for assignments/assessment and stressing over it.
Mayfest/Buddhafest on Saturday. Food and fireworks. Friend's place on Sunday to try roasting chicken, lol. It was fun and yummy. Spent the rest of the night going through piano pieces, random songs, looking through recipes and entertaining the baby XD Monday was public holiday and Joshi's b'day =) Funny night of chatting, food and games with church friends.
So ... not much else other than that. Happy for the 'relaxing' time, time with friends and the long weekend after that week. I feel so bludgy atm/this week, lol. Better start getting back into fully studying now and not do bits and pieces here and there.

Hope everyone is going well with school/uni. Good luck to everyone for all assessment and exams =) Don't get too stressed! Remember to give yourself some relax time otherwise, it won't do you any good and we'll all just turn into a ball of stress o_o; Bai~ ^_^

Lazy me.

I've been so lately that's it's not funny. However, I just program myself to work ... automatically. Perhaps even really slowly.
School started Monday. My last week of holidays was filled with 'relaxing', studying and doing teh frustrating/tedious/stupid BCT. I've never had such a dislike for BCT til this assignment. Maybe the fact that it was an oral made me hate it. Hate orals. I spent and wasted so much of my time trying to 'perfect' this uber short oral. Seriously, it should be a report. You'd die talking for 20 mins and everyone would get bored listening to you. Stupid BCT. Luckily I got drawn to present it first day. So unexpected but able to get it over and done with. Except everything totally stuffed up on me then and the actual oral turned out crappy even though it was perfectly fine the few times I practiced before. Aargh *calms down* Not gonna vent/rant anymore.
The week has been pretty up/down. And like, it's nearly gone. Again. This term is gonna fly by again so quickly that's it's not funny. Every subject this week have been pretty normal. But like, tonnes of things are coming up ... Accounting, English, IPT ... all in week 3. I'm so dreading it. I feel like I'm gonna crack anytime soon. I'm beginning to think I really robotically live my life these days. Do this now, do this later. My 'non-robotic' time is like during MT or Lunch where I can just eat and space out and listen to randomness. I've been getting so tired lately as well from lack of sleep. Already =='' *sigh* What am I going to do with myself. I should really be getting back to work right now.
On a different topic. Driving. Lessons have been going quite well I reckon. Especially over the last few lessons over the past 2 weeks ish. Instructor happy, me happy, decided that I could go for my exam next Saturday (since like a few weeks ago) Yayness! Get my P's outta the way and I'd be a happy person. Don't have to continue paying for so long and go poor lol. However, today ... omg ... worst driving in ages. I really don't know what was wrong with me. Maybe slightly newer and unfamiliar roads maybe? It wasn't where I usually drive around. Really don't know what happened. My gear changes were all munted, I didn't change the gears smoothly (kept jolting) and turning/accelerating I didn't change to the appropriate gear. Sometimes I just forgot to change to 1st gear, and then kept stalling or whatever. All the way driving today I was like "omg ... what's wrong with me ==" So yeah, after today, and basing on today, I am so not ready for my exam. Decided to move to next month or something. *shrugs* Kinda was looking forward to the exam next week but, oh well. I'd rather be sure and safe about the exam hehe. Besides all that, I love driving around XD You get to familiarize yourself with new roads and routes ^^v
So tired. Gonna get back to work and them sleep asap haha. I need so much rest. I want the weekend to come. More time to work omg ... T_T and ... relax a bit maybe. Hope everyone's weeks are going well.

Wow ... this entry is so long o.O;

Still holidays ...

*sigh* ... such inventive titles ._.

Anyhoo~ yes it is still holidays! A whole week has gone by already ... and what can I say? It's probably been the most 'productive' holiday I've had in a while XD It's been enjoyable ... not just simply staying at home every single day for two weeks. Been out study >_>/shop/movies with friends, catch up with others ^^ and a party last night! Fuuun *nods* Lots of food, catching up with people and movie/s ... and taking care/'playing' with baby XD Jacky & Wendy ... your baby sis is so adorably cuute~!!
lol, yes. Assignment wise ... I'm making good progress with BCT and I hope to finish it today ... really! I don't want to keep dragging it along *cough* I still have IPT to write up as well. I will also get off my lazy bum this week and get back into a study/work mode and cease my lazing around, half procrastinating and half working habits, lol. Oh what fun, work over holidays! Bleh~ I've had sufficient rest.
What else has happened? Oooh! Friend got baptised yesterday! Congrats Von ^__^! May you continue to grow closer to God everyday =) I can't believe I didn't know about it until Jacky told me ._. I was like "Reaally?!?!" and he's like "Yes, really..." *siiigh* XD
So. Last week of holidays. Will I get what I want done, done? I should =P Hope everyone's holidays are going well!

Holidays!

New layout! You'd think I'd kill myself, designing something like this. I don't know what motivated me but hmm... I'm happy with it atm. I can see some of you twitching at it though *cough* Oh wellz~ I had fun familarizing myself on photoshop for this XD
It's holidays! After a busy busy first term, we get our long deserved 2 weeks rest! =) So rest I should be getting lol, but I still average sleeping at around 12. Bad aye~ but yeah, this holidays will be filled with work. Two assignments to hand in early next term, both orals, meaning both need to be written well before and practiced. Should be fine. I like writing 'factual' orals. Nothing English + analysising/imagination and I'll be fine. haha ^^'' Other than work, hopefully I'll be able to go out with friends and bum around/relax before next term hits us again >< So scary, time is flying by, we're already 1/4 way through our last year of school (lolz~ Elaine I think you said that already XD) But yeah ... so fast ><
Anyhoo~ must be off to sleep =) Going out tmrw with a friend ... to work on our assignments LOL. What a life we have. Our holidays mean assignmenting time meaning hanging out in the LIBRARY! whoo!~ Go us. We need a life lol >_>;
